Footprint period

Most platforms contain a baseline period reflecting future network changes that were not yet reflected in the most recent delivered sales data. This baseline period is called "Footprint 202x (sales 202x-1)".

The footprint period is a copy of your most recent baseline period, including openings & closures and certain location characteristic changes (e.g. recently opened locations will be indicated as mature locations) since the last date of your sales period. This period should be used in Location Planning for creating simulations. In case new real network changes occur during the year, the users with the role of 'baseline manager' or superuser can adjust this baseline in the data management module. This way simulations will always be build on the most recent accurate network.

Other certain assumptions about the footprint can be considered such as:

  • online growth
  • overall growth
  • changes in customer profile
  • increased NPS
  • newer interior etc.

A new Footprint 202Y can be added to run the optimal network simulations.
