Baseline network

Each platform contains one or multiple baseline periods that reflect certain data period(s).

The baseline network is the network of your own locations and competitor locations as it exists at a certain moment of time (or during the period that you're considering). There is always one baseline network that reflects the reality of today as good as possible (often called the footprint period). All simulations and analyses should take this network as a starting point.

If a location is closed, opened or modified in reality then it should be edited in the Data Management module on the platform. Otherwise the location performance framework or predictive model will consider an outdated competitive or own landscape.

The baseline network never contains simulated changes, but is used to compare the impact of simulated changes with.
