Projects

A Project groups sites to be simulated over a defined period. It can include new sites or previously tested ones from a saved Project, providing a centralized space to manage multiple simulations with ease. Projects are private, not shared between users, and you can save several of them during your session.

Location Planning vs. Optimize

In the Location Planning module, simulations are carried out manually, site by site. This involves individually configuring each site, running calculations, exporting results, and then moving on to the next site. While this approach is suitable for targeted analyses, it can become time-consuming when testing multiple locations within the same city or a large list of sites across an entire country, for example.

The Optimize module automates the entire process, enabling the testing of a large number of sites simultaneously within a single Project. Each site is calculated & analyzed independently, and once the calculations for one site are completed, the system automatically proceeds to the next. This method eliminates the need for manual intervention, streamlines the workflow, and efficiently handles large-scale calculations.

Results and Benefits

Once the simulations are complete, the Project is saved, and an Excel file containing all sites with their respective forecasted results can be downloaded. This centralized and automated solution not only saves time but also optimizes the management of complex Projects by providing a clearer and more actionable overview.

Remark! When you work on the Optimize module you are not making changes to the real data (& you cannot do anything wrong), you can only test in batch locations, as you can do in Location Planning module location per location. Real baseline changes can only be done in the data management module.
