Drivetime

A drivetime reflects the time it takes to drive from a certain location to another location.

In the platform drivetimes are calculated between zones and locations and thus indicate the time it takes for the people living in that zone to reach a certain location. The drivetime for that zone is not based on the center of gravity for that zone, but is weighted for where the majority of people live (if most people live on the outskirts of a zone, than this will be reflected in the eventual drivetime).

The drivetime calculation can take into account real-time traffic data, meaning that structural delays are integrated in the drivetime calculation. For Belgium, this is based on Be-Mobile data, for the Netherlands on Flitsmeister data. Please contact us if you have questions concerning your configuration.

It is possible to calculate drivetimes through multiple modi. By default, the drivetimes in the platform are drivetimes by car. It's also possible however to configure bike times or walk times
